MY STORY

Born to a Finnish mother and a Moroccan father, my journey began amidst the tranquil landscapes of Iisalmi and the idyllic lakes of Jämsä, Finland.

I ventured to Helsinki to pursue studies in audiovisual (audiovisuaalinen viestintä, Omnia) and digital communications (digitaalinen viestintä, Metropolia AMK), graduating with distinction in 2020.

My passion for visual storytelling ignited during these formative years, blossoming into a love affair with photo and videography that saw me capturing the essence of Helsinki and sharing it with the world.

This passion soon evolved into a thriving business, Omar Visuals Oy, where I'm not just a photographer; I'm a storyteller, weaving narratives that evoke emotion and spark connection.

From the tranquil shores of Finland to the bustling streets of Helsinki, every image is imbued with a sense of authenticity and depth.

LOVING COLORFUL HELSINKI

I love the colorful side of Helsinki and want to challenge locals and visitors to see Helsinki in a new way.

The most colorful parts of Helsinki are located around the city, usually on the seaside and in areas with the older Jugend architecture. Sadly many visitors using trains will only see the Central Railway Station which is a grey and busy area in the middle of Helsinki.

I hope my pictures will challenge people to jump on the iconic Helsinki trams and visit all the beautiful districts of Helsinki… Ullanlinna, Katajanokka, Eira, Töölö, Vallila to name a few!
